Gutter cleaning in Clackamas, Oregon runs on our Portland-metro route days, when our gutter cleaners drive up from Corvallis. Every run is emptied by hand before the debris is bagged and taken away. Each downspout then gets a flush and a flow check, from $299 with no trip fee.
Checked against current sources on 21 October 2026: three NOAA gauges and Clackamas County storm drain guidance.

Gutter cleaning in Clackamas costs $299, our minimum, for one story or two. That price already includes a flush and a flow check on each downspout. A Clackamas address pays the Corvallis list, so the drive never shows up on the bill.
Book in October each year, once most leaves are down and before the November rain; in November, book as soon as you can. The two nearest NOAA gauges log 6.73 and 7.36 inches in November. Gutters still packed by then therefore overflow.
Not in the street, because the county asks residents never to rake or blow yard leaves there. Street grates pipe rain straight to creeks, rivers, wetlands or groundwater. So we bag every handful from the gutters and haul it away.

Our Oregon gutter cleaning hub explains the method statewide. Here, by contrast, the page stays with what changes in Clackamas.
Clackamas sits between three NOAA gauges, and the two closest ones run well wetter than the airport.
The record on our Clackamas pressure washing page comes from Portland International Airport, at 36.92 inches a year. The Oregon City station, about four miles southwest, logs 44.81 inches instead. The Happy Valley 1.7 ESE gauge, about four miles northeast, logs even more, at 49.41.
| Month | Portland airport | Oregon City | Happy Valley 1.7 ESE |
|---|---|---|---|
| October | 3.42 in | 4.23 in | 4.70 in |
| November | 5.45 in | 6.73 in | 7.36 in |
| December | 5.77 in | 7.20 in | 7.33 in |
| January | 5.03 in | 6.54 in | 7.07 in |
| July and August | 1.05 in | 1.06 in | 1.25 in |
| Whole year | 36.92 in | 44.81 in | 49.41 in |
One caution applies to the last two columns, though. NOAA built the Happy Valley normal from 6 years of readings and the Oregon City rain normal from 13 to 22, and flags both as estimated. The airport record, by contrast, is a full 1991 to 2020 normal.
Either way, November to January carries the load. At the Oregon City station, for example, those three months bring 20.47 inches. A gutter that still holds October leaves therefore meets its heaviest flow already blocked.
The Oregon City annual normals also count 30.0 frost nights a year. Winter visits still happen, though, on a dry day without frost.
Clackamas County storm drains carry rainwater to local waterways, so leaves left at the curb can block them.
The county’s storm drain notice warns that rain plus fallen leaves can clog street grates and cause flooding. Those grates, in turn, connect to pipes that carry rain to nearby creeks, rivers, wetlands or groundwater. Its tips also come from Clackamas Water Environment Services and the Oregon Environmental Council.
Water Environment Services adds, in its property manager guide, that owners maintain the storm drains on their own property. It also notes that stormwater systems in this area drain to the nearest creek or river. A gutter overflow that washes leaves across a driveway therefore ends up in that system.
We lift gutter debris out by hand and bag it, so none reaches the beds, the driveway or the curb. The bags then leave with the crew. Flush water runs out through your own downspouts, and any face-wash rinse stays clear of storm inlets, as the Oregon DEQ wash guidance asks.
Some Clackamas streets sit right below a forested butte, so autumn brings more than a garden’s worth of leaves.
Metro describes Mount Talbert Nature Park as a forested oasis above roads, shopping centers and Clackamas neighborhoods. The volcanic butte also rises 750 feet, between Interstate 205 and Happy Valley. In the fall, Metro adds, its Oregon white oaks change color.
Leaves that fall in October and November therefore land in gutters just as the rain picks up. Wet leaves also pack down into a mat, which then slows the flow at each outlet. So homes under mature trees often need a second visit, in spring, to clear seed litter and winter debris.
Streets that climb toward the butte often have sloping yards. Every ladder, however, needs firm, level footing under the OSHA ladder standard. As a result, the crew may reset the ladder several times along one run.
We leave branches alone, though. Pruning overhanging limbs belongs to an arborist, so we note them on the quote instead.
A visit covers every run and every downspout, as well as a photo record of the whole roofline.
A Clackamas home pays the same valley list as one in Corvallis, with no line for the drive.
| Job | Price | What moves the figure |
|---|---|---|
| One-story gutters | $299 | Run length and how full the troughs are |
| Two-story gutters | $299 | Ladder height, yard slope and setup time |
| Downspout flush and flow test | Included | Every spout, on every visit |
| Face, fascia and soffit wash | +20% to 40% | An add-on pass kept under 500 PSI |
| Shop or office frontage | Quoted per building | Footage, hours and how often |
The route carries no surcharge. Book gutters together with Clackamas pressure washing on one route day, and the combined bill drops 10% to 25%. Every band also appears in the Oregon cost guide.

Every run appears before and after, and you keep the full set.
Should the crew find a loose hanger or a split seam, the work stops until you decide.
A route-day visit suits sound gutters that are simply full, which covers most homes on the route.
Cleaning cannot repair a sagging run, a rusted seam or a soft fascia board, however. That is why we name the trade each one needs at the walk-round.
The route covers the Sunnyside corridor and the Town Center area. It also reaches Mount Talbert, North Clackamas Park and the Clackamas River frontage, across ZIPs 97015 and 97267. Clackamas is unincorporated, so it sits directly within Clackamas County.

My driveway and back patio had not been cleaned in years. Both were so bad they looked black. By the time Green Tree was done both looked almost brand new. I would highly recommend and will use them again in the future.Diane M.
October suits most homes, after the leaves drop and before November. The nearest gauges then log 6.73 and 7.36 inches in November.
By the nearest gauges, yes. Oregon City logs 44.81 inches a year and Happy Valley 1.7 ESE logs 49.41, against 36.92 at the airport.
We bag it by hand as we go, and the bags leave with the crew. As a result, none of it is left at the curb, where the county asks residents not to put leaves.
The county suggests raking leaves off the top of the grate near your home. It also asks you to leave the grate itself in place.
On streets below the butte, autumn leaf drop adds to the load. Homes under heavy canopy often need a spring visit as well.
No. We flag the need, and a licensed gutter contractor then handles guards, hangers and repairs.
